ABOUT
I've always been perpetually active. As a child, I would watch television from a headstand, flipping lights off and on with my toes. I danced in high school, taught aerobics in college, and ran and did spin and interval classes as a young adult.
Walking along the ocean in 2010, I was inspired to try yoga. I enrolled in an Ashtanga-inspired vinyasa class at the Northampton Athletic Club and was hooked! I committed to practicing once per week, then expanded to 2, 3, and 4+ sessions per week. Motivated by the ever-expanding possibilities for growth, I learned from several fantastic teachers, styles, and studios and integrated videos, books, workshops, and online classes into my practice.
Yoga became much more than a physical practice. Through movement on the mat, I found ways to move through the world. By connecting to breath, I learned to be in the moment. Yoga became a guiding force in my life—for strength, resilience, community, and connection.
I hope to provide this same welcome and empowerment by sharing yoga as a teacher. My Hatha and Vinyasa classes will flow with breath and alignment, offering combinations that build strength and flexibility always supported by an open heart.
I strive to challenge myself and my students, showing what is possible while staying true to where we are—every time we come together on the mat.
